• Since 2020, the AG for life program has provided more than 200K in support for young creatives.

Powered by our partners at Advisor Group, AG for Life is a 2 year creative residency pathway that empowers a cohort of creatives with the financial, entrepreneurial, artistic, and social leadership. As part of the pathway experience, each creative receives a monthly stipend, savings (investment) account, project support, and a dedicated financial advisor.

SINGER | SONGWRITER | STORY TELLER

“The stipend and savings account gave me an extra layer of financial stability over the past two years. During this time, I was able to make the decision to leave my part-time day job, which while I loved the work that I was doing, I felt that it was cutting into my time to focus on my ultimate creative goals. Leaving my job and knowing that I still had a set amount of steady income each month from AP, in addition to my current less steady streams of income, gave me immense peace of mind.”

  • Timothy j Moore

CREATIVE DIRECTOR | BRAND SPECIALIST | PRODUCER

“Amongst all of the opportunities for impact, I believe that the trip taken to the American Portfolios headquarters was the most impactful for me. That trip was the first time that I had a real-world opportunity to watch the power of mastering your message and watching mission driven work land you a seat at the table of authentic alignment. In addition, it was a life reminder to never stop dreaming and believing in the power of vision and partnership.”

  • JOSUA "PACO" LEE

    ARTIST | WRITER | PRODUCER

“My time as an AP resident was very much a positive one. When I started this program, I knew virtually nothing about financial literacy. This program has grown me exponentially. Running an LLC partnership has taught me a lot about personal responsibility and my financial advisor has imparted a lot of wisdom. I truly believe that past two years has put me on a completely different trajectory than the one I was on initially.”

  • Alayna Epps

    STUDENT | MUSIC THERAPIST

”The stipend and savings account helped me complete my Bachelor’s Degree with zero debt. After being laid off my job due to COVID, AP for life allowed me to stay in school to finish my first goal of attaining my Music degree so that I could start my Masters in Music therapy program on time still. Also due to the lack of loans my first semester in my masters program, I was able to pay my way for that due to AP for life. “

”It did open up my mind to a lot of things, as far as just the possibilities, thinking moreso future wise. I feel like I used to be like a day by day guy. And now I think moreso long term instead of just what to do next. It's what to do the next 10 steps of what I'm going to do instead of just what's the next one step. I'm sure you don't know exactly how much you've impacted a lot of lives.”

  • CECIL MCLENDON

    ARTIST | PRODUCER

”AP For Life not only empowers me mentally, but also in the financial sense of things. I come from a family, with much respect, we weren't financially literate. Within this program, I have an advisor who teaches me things about credit, about equity, and all those different things. That's helped me prepare for the future in case my art ever does become really, really financially successful.”
